Growing Grounds
The Growing Grounds is the propagation center for the Napa Chapter of CNPS. This is where we grow the native plants for our plant sales, for the Martha Walker Garden, as well as for Skyline Park and other local projects. It is the site of our annual Spring and Fall plant sales, the hub of activity during our ‘work parties’, and along with the Martha Walker Garden, is a resource for the local community. On any given day you may find us sowing seeds and rooting cuttings in the greenhouse, transplanting young starts, or tending to the plants in the nursery.
The growing grounds depend on the volunteer efforts of CNPS members and non-members alike. Their hard work and enthusiasm is at the core of what goes on at the growing grounds.
Interested in volunteering at the Growing Grounds? Whether you are a member, or just interested in native plants, we can always use more helping hands here at the nursery! You can call the Growing Grounds office at (707) 253-2665 for more information.
